Qualification Details
Assistant:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of 3 years) in any field from a recognized university or institution.
- Knowledge of MS Office and PowerPoint is required.
Technician-I:
- Should have completed 12th grade with 55% marks in Science subjects from a recognized board.
- A 1-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), Computer Technology, Chemical Technology, or Industrial Safety from an accredited institution is also necessary.
Laboratory Attendant-I:
- 10th Class Pass with at least 50 percentage numbers from a recognized board, and one year of work experience in a govt. approved laboratory. Alternatively, a trade certificate in the relevant field from a recognized ITI can also be considered.
Age Limit (As on 11 December 2024)
- Assistant: Age limit is up to 30 years.
- Technician-I: Age limit is up to 28 years.
- Laboratory Attendant-I: Age limit is up to 25 years.
Age Relaxation:
Candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and Ex-Servicemen will receive age relaxation according to government norms as per the DoPT OM No. DoPT-1667569393892 dated 06.09.2022.
Stipend
- Assistant: Monthly salary ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.
- Technician-I: Monthly salary ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200.
- Laboratory Attendant-I: Monthly salary ranging from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900.

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a written test followed by a skill test for the Assistant post.
Written Test:
- The written test will be of 100 numbers, consisting of 100 MCQ. Correct answers will earn 1 mark, and incorrect ones will lead to a 0.25 mark deduction.
- The test will take place in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, and the syllabus will be announced later.
Skill Test (For Assistant Post):
- Candidates who pass the written exam will be called for the skill test.
- Initially, the top 20 candidates based on their performance in the written test will be considered for the skill test. If none of the top 20 candidates qualify, the next group of 20 will be selected.
Probation Period
All selected candidates will undergo a 2-year probation period from their joining date.
